On April the 1st 2024 our Media Team had another training session with Polly Armstrong-Wilson of @pollyawmedia with a view to getting more active on social media and on our website. Polly set up our website for #CCFC and designed the group logos and established our social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter X and Linkedin.

Our Media and Comms sub-committee is chaired by Deirdre Falconer. The rest of the team is made up of Ali McKnight (Croup Co-ordinator/Facilitator), Ruaridh Ormiston (Director) and Lucy Grant (Vice Chairperson).

None of us are experts by any means or even close so please bear with us as we learn how to use the amazing branding and socials package that Polly has created for us.

We are nervously starting to use the website and this Blog is my first ever attempt at one! Over the next few days we will add events to the What’s On calendar and start adding some posts on different topics on the Forum which is only available in the Members Area of the website.

If you have any suggestions for Blog, What’s On or Social Media Posts then please get in touch and send us your ideas and photos and we will try and get them published.

We urge you all to sign up as Web Members (after you have done your membership application online and paid your fee and maybe made a donation too) via the Website so that you can have access to the Members Area where you will be able to view the Members Forum and eventually download things like company documents like the Articles of Association and past Meeting Minutes etc ! Please be patient this is all new to us and we are doing our best !

Once you can get in to the forum we have a #FarmPhotoFriday section that we hope you will all start to enjoy sharing your photos on a Friday and each week initially our WhatsApp Weekly Report Contributor (Ewan Grant, Gaskbeg Farm Laggan) can choose the best one and we will feature it in posts and credit the contributor during the following week.

Welcome to Cairngorms Crofting and Farming Community - a truly large agricultural family.

Many thanks

Ruaridh
